۞ (Then will the command be given): “Muster all the wrong-doers and their spouses and the deities whom they used to serve 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 "Why help you not one another?" 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 "It was you who tried to mislead us from righteousness". 28 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 The statement of Our Lord is realized against us, and we are tasting it, 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 So all of them on that day are sharers in the chastisement. 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 When they were told, "There is no deity but God," they turned away with disdain, 35 And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom - 38 Ye are requited naught save what ye did - 39 But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,- 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 fruits of various kinds; and they shall be honoured, 42 in gardens of bliss, 43 upon couches, set face to face, 44 A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them, 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 so delicate as the hidden peel under an egg's shell. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” – 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 [that] after we have died and become mere dust and bones we shall, forsooth, be brought to judgment?"' 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 And had it not been for the favor of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought up. 57 What, do we then not die 58 except for our first death? And shall we suffer no chastisement?'” 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 We have indeed made that a punishment for the unjust. 63 Surely it is a tree that-grows in the bottom of the hell; 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 Then on top of it they will have a brew of boiling water. 67 Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire. 68 These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error, 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 And assuredly many of the ancients went astray before them, 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 and behold, how was the end of them that were warned, 73 except for the chosen servants of Allah? 74
