And indeed, We delivered the children of Israel from the shameful suffering 30 (We delivered them) from Pharaoh. Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones. 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 And We gave them portents wherein was a clear trial. 33 Indeed these people say: 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our fathers [back], if what you say is true. 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba? And those who were before them? We destroyed them; they were indeed criminals. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 Truly, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for all of them, 40 the Day when a friend shall be of no avail to his friend nor shall they be helped, 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
