Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

May both the hands of Abu Lahab be destroyed – and they are destroyed! 1 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
