And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 and say: "Behold, I am indeed the plain warner [promised by God]! 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 Indeed, We know your chest is straitened by that they say. 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. 99
