Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 THE BESTOWAL from on high [of this revelation] issues from the Most Gracious, the Dispenser of Grace: 2 A Book of which the verses are made plain, an Arabic Quran for a people who know: 3 Giving good news and admonition: yet most of them turn away, and so they hear not. 4 And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)." 5 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Physically I am a human like you – I receive the divine revelation that your God is only One God, therefore be upright towards Him and seek forgiveness from Him”; and woe is to the polytheists. – 6 Who give not the poor-due, and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 The righteously striving believers will have a never-ending reward". 8
