On the Day when the enemies of Allah will be rightfully gathered together before Fire, 19 Until when they come to it, their ears and their eyes and their skins shall bear witness against them as to what they did. 20 And they will say unto their skins: wherefore bear ye witness against us? They will say: Allah hath caused us to speak, Who causeth everything to speak, and Who created you the first time and unto whom ye are now caused to return. 21 And you were not covering yourselves, lest your hearing testify against you or your sight or your skins, but you assumed that Allah does not know much of what you do. 22 This thought of yours about your Lord has led to your perdition and you have become among the losers.” 23 Then if they are patient, even then the fire is their home; and if they plead, none will listen to their pleading. 24 ۞ for [when they became oblivious of Us,] We assigned to them [their own evil impulses as their] other selves, and these made appear goodly to them whatever lay open before them and whatever was beyond their ken. And so, the sentence [of doom] will have fallen due upon them together with the [other sinful] communities of invisible beings and humans that passed away before their time: verily, they [all] will indeed be lost! 25
