The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
