۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent into the cities summoners, 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 they have enraged us, 55 And verily we are host well-provided. 56 Thus did We drive them out of their gardens and springs 57 Treasures, and every kind of honourable place. 58 This happened with them; (but on the other hand), We enabled the Children of Israel to inherit those bounties. 59 At sunrise, they followed them. 60 and, when the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, 'We are overtaken!' 61 Moses said: "Certainly not. My Lord is with me; He will direct me." 62 We sent a revelation to Moses saying, "Strike the sea with your staff." The sea was rent asunder and each side stood high up like a huge mountain. 63 Then We brought the two parties closer. 64 And We saved Moosa and all those with him. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 In this [story] behold, there is a message [unto all men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 67 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
