The people of Noah rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 106 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 109 So fear God and follow me." 110 ۞ They said: Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you? 111 He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do? 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am none but a plain warner." 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 He said: "My Lord! Verily, my people have belied me. 117 so give true deliverance between me and them, and deliver me and the believers that are with me. 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 Thereafter We drowned those who remained behind. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
