We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 And the earth -- We spread it forth; O excellent Smoothers! 48 And all things We have created by pairs, that haply ye may reflect. 49 And so, [O Muhammad, say unto them:] "Flee unto God [from all that is false and evil]! Verily, I am a plain warner to you from Him! 50 And do not set up with Allah another god: surely I am a plain warner to you from Him. 51 Similarly, no Messenger came to those before them but they said: 'Sorcerer, or mad' 52 Did they suggest it to them? Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people. 53 Turn away from them. You will not be blamed. 54 yet go on reminding [all who would listen]: for, verily, such a reminder will profit the believers. 55 I have not created mankind and jinn except to worship Me. 56 I desire of them no provision, neither do I desire that they should feed Me. 57 It is God Who is the Sustainer and the Lord of invincible strength. 58 The wrong-doers shall receive a portion of the chastisements as their fellows (of yore). So let them not rush Me. 59 Woe, then, to the Unbelievers, on account of that Day of theirs which they have been promised! 60
