Al-Waaqe'ah 2 of 3
These (people of the right hand) consist of many from the ancient 39 And a company of the later peoples. 40 The Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 41 (They will be) in the midst of a Fierce Blast of Fire and in Boiling Water, 42 And in the shadow of a burning smoke. 43 Nothing (will there be) to refresh, nor to please: 44 For, behold, in times gone by they were wont to abandon themselves wholly to the pursuit of pleasures, 45 and they persisted obstinately in awful sin, 46 And they used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 47 “And also our forefathers?” 48 Say thou: verily the ancients and those of later generations: 49 “They will all be gathered together – on the appointed time of the known day.” 50 Then lo! ye, the erring, the deniers, 51 Will eat of the tree of Zaqqum, 52 filling your bellies with it; 53 And upon it, you will drink the hot boiling water. 54 and you will drink as the lapping of thirsty camels. 55 Thus shall they be entertained on the Day of Recompense. 56 It is We Who created you, so why do you not accept the truth? 57 Have you considered the seed you spill? 58 Is it you who creates it, or are We the Creator? 59 We have decreed among you Death; We shall not be outstripped; 60 from replacing you by others like yourselves or changing your forms and re-creating you in forms that you know nothing of. 61 And you have indeed learnt about the first creation, so why do you not ponder? 62 Have you seen what you sow? 63 Is it you who cause it to grow - or are We the cause of its growth? 64 Did We will, We would make it broken orts, and you would remain bitterly jesting -- 65 (And say:) "We have fallen into debt; 66 Surely, we have been deprived (of the benefits)". 67 Tell Me! The water that you drink. 68 Send it down ye from the raincloud, or are We the Sender down? 69 If We so pleased, We certainly could make it salty. Why, then, are you not grateful? 70 See ye the Fire which ye kindle? 71 Is it you that originated its tree, or are We the Originator? 72 We have made it to be a reminder and a benefit for the wayfarers. 73 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
