Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
