Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
