T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 He said: "Moses, throw it down." 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
