The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 162 so fear you God, and obey you me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 175

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
