And indeed, We delivered the children of Israel from the shameful suffering 30 From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge above the nations (of their time). 32 And We gave them portents wherein was a clear trial. 33 Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying: 34 there is nothing beyond our first death; we shall not be raised again. 35 So then, bring forth our forefathers [as witnesses,] if what you claim is true!" 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in play. 38 We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand. 39 The Day of Judgement is your promised day of meeting, 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 except those on whom Allah will have mercy. He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 42
