▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But for he who has feared the position of his Lord are two gardens - 46 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 47 Having numerous branches. 48 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 49 In both of them are two springs, flowing. 50 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 51 In which are fruits of all kinds, each of two varieties. 52 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 53 They will recline on Carpets, whose inner linings will be of rich brocade: the Fruit of the Gardens will be near (and easy of reach). 54 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 55 therein maidens restraining their glances, untouched before them by any man or jinn -- 56 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 57 As if they were rubies and coral. 58 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 59 Is the reward of goodness aught save goodness? 60 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 61 And besides these two there shall be two other Gardens. 62 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 63 Of darkest verdant green -- 64 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 65 In them will be two gushing springs. 66 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 67 In both of them will be [all kinds of] fruit, and date-palms and pomegranates. 68 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 69 Therein will be damsels agreeable and beauteous. 70 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 71 They are houris (maidens of Paradise), hidden from view, in pavilions. 72 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 73 Whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. 74 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 75 [They will live in such a paradise] reclining upon green cushions and the finest carpets. 76 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 77 Blessed be the name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Honor! 78
True are the words of God the Almighty.
