And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the mountains (feeling themselves) secure. 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 We have indeed bestowed on you the seven oft-repeated verses and the Great Qur'an. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 and say: "Behold, I am indeed the plain warner [promised by God]! 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 About their deeds. 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
