The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The All-merciful 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He hath created man. 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. 9 And earth -- He set it down for all beings, 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
