And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left, 17 Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). 18 The palsy of death will surely come. This is what you wished to avert. 19 And the trumpet shall be blown; that is the day of the threatening. 20 And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness. 21 You were heedless of this, but now We have removed your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 His (angelic) companion will say, "(Lord), the record of his deeds is with me and is all ready". 23 "Cast each stubborn unbeliever into Hell," (they will be told), 24 [every] withholder of good [and] sinful aggressor [and] fomentor of distrust [between man and man - everyone] 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ Man's other self' will say: "O our Sustainer! It was not I that led his conscious mind into evil [nay,] but it had gone far astray [of its own accord]! 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 No word is to be exchanged in My presence. I am not unjust to My servants". 29
