Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble, writers 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
