Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the morning hours 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
