Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 Nay, but ye will come to know! 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8
God the Almighty always says the truth.
