Proclaim, “Who guards you night and day from the Most Gracious?” In fact they have turned away from the remembrance of their Lord. 42 Have they gods who defend them beside Us? They are not able to succour themselves, and against Us they cannot be kept company with. 43 We allowed them and their fathers time to enjoy till the very end of their lives. Do they not see Us advancing into the land, reducing its frontiers? Would they still prevail? 44 Say: 'I warn you only by the Revelation'; but they that are deaf do not hear the call when they are warned. 45 And if a whiff of your Lord’s punishment were to touch them, they would certainly say, “Woe to us – we were indeed unjust!” 46 And We shall set up balances of justice on the Day of Resurrection, then none will be dealt with unjustly in anything. And if there be the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it. And Sufficient are We as Reckoners. 47 We gave Moses and Aaron the Criterion, and gave them a light and a Remembrance for the cautious: 48 Who fear their Lord unseen, while they are of the Hour apprehensive. 49 This is a blessed reminder that We have revealed to you. Will you then reject it? 50
