۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 And Pharaoh sent forth heralds to all the cities. 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 And most surely they have enraged us; 55 But we are a fully accounted army." 56 We therefore got them out from the gardens and water springs. 57 their treasures and their noble dwellings -- 58 and We made the Children of Israel inheritors of these bounties. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 and, when the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, 'We are overtaken!' 61 (Moses) said: "By no means! my Lord is with me! Soon will He guide me!" 62 Then We inspired Musa (Moses) (saying): "Strike the sea with your stick." And it parted, and each separate part (of that sea water) became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 and We saved Moses and those who were with him together, 65 But We drowned the others. 66 Verily herein is a sign; but most of them are not believers. 67 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
