Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 The sending down of the Book, wherein no doubt is, from the Lord of all Being. 2 Or do they say, 'He has forged it'? Say: 'Not so; it is the truth from thy Lord that thou mayest warn a people to whom no warner came before thee, that haply so they may be guided. 3 Allah it is Who created the heavens and the earth, and that which is between them, in six Days. Then He mounted the Throne. Ye have not, beside Him, a protecting friend or mediator. Will ye not then remember? 4 He directs the affair from heaven to earth, then it goes up to Him in one day, whose measure is a thousand years of your counting. 5 Such is the Knower of the unseen and the visible, the Powerful, the Merciful, 6 It is He Who created everything in the best manner and began the creation of the human being from clay. 7 Then kept his posterity with a part of an abject fluid. 8 But He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him something of His spirit. And He gave you (the faculties of) hearing and sight and feeling (and understanding): little thanks do ye give! 9 And they said, “When we have mingled into the earth, will we be created again?”; in fact they disbelieve in the meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Tell them: “The angel of death who has been charged with your souls shall gather you, and then you shall be brought back to your Lord.” 11
