Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And peace be unto the sent ones. 181 And all praise unto Allah the Lord of the worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
