The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Event will come to pass 1 there will be nought that could give the lie to its having come to pass, 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth is shaken 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 You will become three categories: 7 Those of the right hand -- how (happy) will be those of the right hand! 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 And the forerunners, the forerunners - 10 They shall be near-stationed (to their Lord), 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 On lined couches, 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 that will neither make the head throb, nor intoxicate, 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 And wide eyed houris 22 like pearls preserved in their shells, 23 a recompense for that they laboured. 24 They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin, 25 Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 And water poured out 31 And fruits numberless, 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 And raised couches; 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 And have made them virgins. 36 full of love, well-matched 37 For the sake of the companions of the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
