The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
