The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the midmorning, 1 and the brooding night! 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
