T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 Whether you say a thing aloud or inaudibly, He has knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 Then when he was come thereto, he was cried unto. O Musa! 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. 13 “Indeed it is Me, Allah – there is no God except I – therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits. 24
