۞ And We inspired Musa (Moses), saying: "Take away My slaves by night, verily, you will be pursued." 52 And Pharaoh sent forth heralds to all the cities. 53 "These," they said, "are only a small band, 54 "And verily, they have done what has enraged us; 55 And verily we are host well-provided. 56 Thus did We drive them out of their gardens and springs 57 and treasures and a noble station; 58 Thus [We turned them (Pharaoh's people) out] and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 At sunrise they set off in pursuit of them 60 and as soon as the two hosts came in sight of one another, the followers of Moses exclaimed: "Behold, we shall certainly be overtaken [and defeated]!" 61 [Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me." 62 Then We revealed to Moses, (commanding him): "Strike the sea with your rod." Thereupon the sea split up, and then each became like the mass of a huge mount. 63 Then We brought the two parties closer. 64 and We delivered Moses and his companions, all of them, 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 67 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
