3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had called upon Us (earlier). See, how excellent We were in answering him! 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
