۞ And when the son of Mary is quoted as an example, behold! the folk laugh out, 57 And they said, "Are your gods better, or is he?" They did not present the comparison except for [mere] argument. But, [in fact], they are a people prone to dispute. 58 but he was only a servant We favoured and made an example for the Children of Israel: 59 And if it were Our Will, We could make angels from amongst you, succeeding each other on the earth. 60 It is knowledge of the Hour; doubt not concerning it, and follow me. This is a straight path. 61 And let not Satan turn you aside. Lo! he is an open enemy for you. 62 And when Isa came with clear arguments he said: I have come to you indeed with wisdom, and that I may make clear to you part of what you differ in; so be careful of (your duty to) Allah and obey me: 63 Verily God is my Lord and your Lord; so worship Him. This is the straight path." 64 Then the sects differed among themselves. Woe then unto those who do Wrong because of the torment of an afflictive Day. 65 Are they waiting for the Hour of Doom when the torment will suddenly strike them and they will not even realize from where it came? 66 All intimate friends on that day will become each others enemies except for the pious, 67
