The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 has created man, 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
