Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
