Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ya, Seen. 1 By the Quran, full of wisdom, 2 Most surely you are one of the apostles 3 upon a Straight Path. 4 A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful, 5 so that you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, and so were heedless. 6 The sentence is surely justified against most of them, for they do not believe. 7 We will certainly put iron collars on their heel's which will come up to their chins, so that they will not be able to raise their heads. 8 And We have set a bar before them and a bar behind them, and (thus) have covered them so that they see not. 9 It is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them for they shall not believe. 10 Thou canst [truly] warn only him who is willing to take the reminder to heart, and who stands in awe of the Most Gracious although He is beyond the reach of human perception: unto such, then, give the glad tiding of [God's] forgiveness and of a most excellent reward! 11 Surely it is We who bring the dead to life and write down what they have forwarded and what they have left behind; everything We have numbered in a clear register. 12
