He it is Who hath made the earth subservient unto you, so Walk in the paths thereof and eat of His providence. And unto Him will be the resurrection (of the dead). 15 Can you ever feel secure that He who is in heaven will not cause the earth to swallow you up when, lo and behold, it begins to quake? 16 Do you feel secure that He Who is in the heaven will not let loose upon you a storm of stones? Then shall you know what My warning is like! 17 And indeed those before them belied (the Messengers of Allah), then how terrible was My denial (punishment)? 18 Do they not observe the birds above them, spreading their wings and folding them in? None can uphold them except (Allah) Most Gracious: Truly (Allah) Most Gracious: Truly it is He that watches over all things. 19 Or, who is it that shall be your host to help you, other than the Merciful? Indeed, the unbelievers are only deluded. 20 Or, who is it that shall provide for you if He withholds His provision? Yet they persist in arrogance and aversion. 21 So is one who walks inverted upon his face more rightly guided, or one who walks upright on the Straight Path? 22 Say thou: He it is who hath brought you forth and hath endowed you with hearing and sights and hearts. Little thanks it is ye give! 23 Say: "It is He Who has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered together." 24 And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?" 25 Say: The knowledge is with Allah only, and I am but a plain warner; 26 But when they see it nigh, the faces of those who disbelieve will be awry, and it will be said (unto them): This is that for which ye used to call. 27 (Muhammad), say, "Have you not considered that regardless whether God forgives me and my followers or grants us mercy, but who will protect the disbelievers from a painful torment? 28 Say: "He is the Most Beneficent (Allah), in Him we believe, and in Him we put our trust. So you will come to know who is it that is in manifest error." 29 Say: 'What do you think. If your water should sink into the earth in the morning, who then would bring you running water' 30
