The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And it is no joke. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
