3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
