The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
