The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ [The time of] their account has approached for the people, while they are in heedlessness turning away. 1 Whenever a new advice comes to them from their Lord, they do not listen to it except while playing. 2 diverted their hearts. The evildoers whisper one to another, 'Is this aught but a mortal like to yourselves? What, will you take to sorcery with your eyes open?' 3 He (Muhammad SAW) said: "My Lord knows (every) word (spoken) in the heavens and on earth. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower." 4 But they say, "[The revelation is but] a mixture of false dreams; rather, he has invented it; rather, he is a poet. So let him bring us a sign just as the previous [messengers] were sent [with miracles]." 5 Not one city that We destroyed before them believed; what then, will they not believe? 6 And We sent not before thee but men unto whom We revealed; so ask the people of the admonition if ye know not. 7 And We did not make them bodies not eating the food, and they were not to abide (forever). 8 Then We made Our promise good to them and delivered whomsoever We pleased, and destroyed the transgressors. 9 We have bestowed upon you a Book that mentions you. Do you not understand? 10
