The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta. Sin. These are the verses of the Quran and of the illustrious Book 1 A guidance and good news for the believers, 2 who pray regularly and pay obligatory alms and have firm faith in the Hereafter. 3 As for those who will not believe in the life to come - behold, goodly have We made their own doings appear unto them, and so they stumble blindly to and fro 4 It is they whom the worst of suffering awaits: for it is they, they who in the life to come shall be the greatest losers! 5 Thou receivest the Koran from One All-wise, All-knowing. 6 When Musa said to his family: Surely I see fire; I will bring to you from it some news, or I will bring to you therefrom a burning firebrand so that you may warm yourselves. 7 Then when he came unto it, he was cried unto: Thus; Blest is whosoever is in the fire and whosoever is around it; and hallowed be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. 8 O Moses, I am that God, the mighty and all-wise. 9 And cast down your staff. So when he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent, he turned back retreating and did not return: O Musa! fear not; surely the apostles shall not fear in My presence; 10 as for those who do wrong and then do good after evil, I am most forgiving, most merciful. 11 Put your hand into your pocket. It will come out sheer white but unharmed. This is one of the nine miracles which shall be showing to the Pharaoh and his people; they are truly wicked men." 12 But when Our signs came to them in all their clarity they said, "This is clearly sorcery!" 13 They denied those Signs out of iniquity and arrogance although their hearts were convinced of their truth. So see how evil was the end of those mischief-makers! 14
