Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 He abandoned his people 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
