In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Blessed be He in whose hand is the Kingdom -- He is powerful over everything -- 1 Who hath created life and death that He may try you which of you is best in conduct; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving, 2 Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent Allah; then look again, can you see any disorder? 3 Then look again and yet again, your sight will return to you in a state of humiliation and worn out. 4 And certainly We have adorned this lower heaven with lamps and We have made these missiles for the Shaitans, and We have prepared for them the chastisement of burning. 5 The chastisement of Hell awaits those who disbelieve in their Lord. What a wretched destination! 6 When they are thrown into it, they hear from it a [dreadful] inhaling while it boils up. 7 Almost bursting with fury: Every time a Group is cast therein, its Keepers will ask, "Did no Warner come to you?" 8 They will reply: "Yea, a warner did indeed come unto us, but we gave him the lie and said, 'Never has God sent down anything [by way of revelation]! You [self-styled warners] are but lost in a great delusion!"' 9 They also say, 'If we had only heard, or had understood, we would not have been of the inhabitants of the Blaze.' 10 Thus will they confess their sins. Damned are these inmates of the Blazing Fire. 11 Indeed for those who fear their Lord without seeing is forgiveness, and a great reward. 12 Whether you say a thing secretly or openly, He knows the innermost secrets of your hearts. 13 How could it be that He who has created [all] should not know [all]? Yea, He alone is unfathomable [in His wisdom,] aware! 14

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
