The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Verily your God is One, 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 They are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
