3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
