Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 will certainly be victorious 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 And turn away from them for some time. 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
