Remind them, therefore, that by the grace of your Lord you are neither a soothsayer nor possessed. 29 Or do they say: 'He is a poet, we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him' 30 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" 31 Or do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people? 32 What! They say, “He has invented the Qur'an”? Rather they do not have faith. 33 So let them bring a discourse like it, if they are truthful 34 Or were they created out of nothing? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and earth? Nay, but they have not sure faith. 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof. 38 Or does Allah have daughters whereas you have sons? 39 Or do you demand any wages from them so that they are burdened with expense? 40 Do they possess knowledge of the unseen, so that they can write it down? 41 Do they design evil plans? The disbelievers themselves will be snared by their evil plots. 42 Do they have another god besides God? God is too exalted to be considered equal to the idols. 43 If they should see a part of the heavens falling down, they would say, "A mass of clouds," 44 So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible - 45 when their stratagem shall be of no avail to them, nor shall they be succoured. 46 Surely there are other torments besides this for those who are wicked, though most of them do not know. 47 And wait patiently for the judgment of your Lord, for surely you are before Our eyes, and sing the praise of your Lord when you rise; 48 And glorify Him in the night and when the stars begin to wane. 49
