Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble, recording, 11 who know what you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
